School Administrative Unit #39 is comprised of the Amherst, Mont Vernon and Souhegan Cooperative School Districts. These three districts represent the K-12 learning experience for approximately 3000 students and their families in the towns of Amherst and Mont Vernon. United by a common mission, “To Engage, Support and Challenge All Learners", we work together with common core values towards common goal.

SAU #39 School Board Adopts 5 Year Goal
Each Student will demonstrate improved performance in all subject areas, as measured annually through multiple assessments. This will be accomplished within the next five years by SAU 39 focusing on reading and writing across the curriculum.

Amherst School Board Develops Master Plan
The Amherst School Board has developed a master plan for the Amherst School District. The plan makes recommendations regarding facilities for the next ten years. It is based on enrollment projections, present and planned curriculum and methods of instruction, and, where possible, flexibility for community use.
